Transit Oriented Development

“Transit Oriented Development” is the term used for the economic development that occurs as a result of the train’s presence. New businesses, dwellings, and jobs. We have captured the progressive evolution of SunRail for several years. From construction to opening and inaugural runs, we quickly noticed new businesses, offices, and housing sprang up wherever a SunRail Station was erected. It’s just like the history of railroads in our country. As railroad tracks were laid heading out west into sparsely populated areas, towns materialized at the station stops.

In 2017, we shot footage of the station areas that showed the most change in terms of landscape and development. It’s been fun for us to bear witness and to document the impact SunRail has had on the landscape and economy of Central Florida.
